End violence against women

From 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world. The international campaign originated from the first Women's Global Leadership Institute coordinated by the Center for Women's Global Leadership in 1991. Find out more about the campaign here.

NG:She work alongside other feminist organisations and individual activists and campaigners, to demand an end to the repeated violence and abuse that women and girls experience on a daily basis. We have extensive experience of working in refuges and housing projects for women and children escaping domestic violence and abuse, and a whole range of life experiences that empower and drive us in this.

Our courses on domestic violence awareness and helping skills are designed to enable women to recognise the systematic violence that can take place in abusive relationships, and how those in danger can be supported in a safe, empowering way. We have connections with many organisations and campaigns and encourage everyone to show support for the 16 days of activism in whatever way they can.
